This class with take place in the Alpacas from MaRS studio space. Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 10am-4pm.Class fee is to be paid in advance since our instructor will be traveling from out of state.
Learn to make a custom-fitting pair of felted slippers using only wool roving and hot soapy water. Students will create a custom plastic resist as the pattern, and create the slippers from start to finish in one day. Students will come away with one completed pair of slippers and the know-how to make more for any sized foot. Best for those with some felting experience or scrappy beginners.About our instructor: LeBrie Rich is an artist and educator living in Portland, Oregon. She is the proprietress of PenFelt, a line of felted accessories and objects that are available in select craft galleries nationally. Her work has been featured in a variety of publications, for print and web, including The New York Times and 1000 Artisan Textiles by Lark Press. LeBrie has been teaching feltmaking for 10 years and loves to introduce people the miraculous and fun process of transforming raw wool into felt!
