Birthing Services and Neonatal Care
Alpacas from MaRS is available to assist
you with your birthing needs. If your work takes you off the farm and you are nervous when it comes time for cria watch, we
can help. Or perhaps you're just not comfortable with the idea of a cria being born on your watch...bring your females to
us and let us do the watching!
We have attended several birthing clinics and have personally dealt with most dystocias
with a high success rate. With 100+ births during our watch, you can feel confident your dam and newborn will be well cared
for. If you need references, we are happy to provide them.
Pricing
and Terms Our birthing fee is $250. Our fee includes all normal prenatal and postnatal care for the dam and
basic delivery and neonatal care for your newborn. Additional fees may apply for dystocias depending on severity. Veterinary
care that is found to be necessary will be billed directly by Veterinarian. If colostrum supplements are necessary, we have
a supply on hand and our clients will be billed at our cost. Regular agistment fees apply to all visiting females. If your
newborn needs extra care, we can provide it.
We
offer discounts on breeding services to Alpacas from MaRS herdsires if your females are here for birthing.
